Medication in Hong Kong - Tacrolimus?

I have just moved to HK from the UK. Had a kidney transplant 4 years ago and found out that I will need to pay approx GBP 400.00 / HKD 4,500 to get Tacrolimus every month.......Does anyone know how I can get this cheaper or heavily subsidised? Thanks.

i have tried every medicine out there for Ulcerative Colitis (UC). It is also known as IBD (inflammatory bowel disease). I tried prednisone twice, tacrolimus twice, pentasa sevral times, and remicaid at the lowest dose and at the highest dose. I am having a flare up now its been about a month. My dr up the remicaid to the highest dose a week ago. Nothing has still yet to get better. He said if nothing happened call him so he can schedule a complete colostomy. Should i wait longer or is there any medicines i should ask about.

Has anyone used cyclosporine .02 ointment without success for canine dry eye, then had better results using the tacrolimus .02 ointment? I've also used cyclosporine 2.0 drops but the dog didn't seem to tolerate it well (yellowish eye formation after 3 days) I'm really hoping this works because surgery is the only next option. The dog is a small Chinese Crested and dry eye seems to be common in this breed. The last shirmer tear test was yesterday, readings were 1, and 2 in the good eye, not good from 6 a few months ago. Mike, before you have the surgery discuss the tacrolimus with your vet.

Hi, I had a liver Transplant 12 years ago and I was on Tacrolimus for last 12 years. due my my kidneys complications yesterday doctors change it to other immune suppressive called Sirolimus. But I recently bought lots of Tacrolimus. where can I sell them if it is possible at all. (obviously much cheaper than normal price). If I give it back to pharmacy they will dispose it, I asked about it. they all in original pack and not open and kept in the right condition. Many thanks.

Hi, I had a liver transplant 12 years ago due to PSC and been on Tacrolimus (prograf) since. no problem with the medication. recently kidneys got really bad and now I am in hospital. dr are planning to change my Tacrolimus to sirolimus but I am so upset. 12 years I was with tacrolimus and I trust it so much. how can I change it and feel comfortable. I am worry about all the unknown side effect of it. is it any WEIGHT GAINE associated with it? its only sirolimus and NOT combine with steroid. can some one please help me and answer my question? Last minute today they change their mind again (initial plan was cellcept). anyway, no difference as I am so scared no matter what? I read abour odema (thats not nice to have especially this is a life time drug) does that mean I will Have peripheral odema for rest of my life?? :-(
