Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome?

Hello there. I'm 20 now. Last year, went to a gynaecologist to do a checkup on why my period is not regular. So the doctor said that I'm having this syndrome after doing a thorough examination. Besides that I'm also having these symptoms: *over weight *excessive hair all over the body (thick ones) *irregular period The doctor told me that it's caused by excessive male hormones in my body. The only suggestion that the doctor gave me is that to lose weight.He won't give any medication because he was afraid that it will increase my weight even more. But I can't lose any weight, it's just too stubborn. So I was thinking of using spironolactone to cure my unbalance hormone. I've read it somewhere and it seems to cure it a little bit. But I'm quite skeptical about it. Please do give me some opinion on this. Thank you.

i take this drug once a day,100 mgs each day.but last night i mistakenly took 4 tablets at once.after 40 minutes i vomitted but a friend of me said i should see a doctor.i didn't do that.but now i have a terrible ache with my kidneys what should i do?

Im currently taking spironolactone and I would like to know if it decreases the effectiveness of the birth control pill.

i took one pill a day for 1 week i april then i stopped taking it because i was getting headaches and more frequent bowel movements. i want 2 know if it is safe for me to take it again despite the sideaffects?
