Can anybody make a diagnosis for the following symptoms experienced by a 72 –year old man?
The neurologist's diagnosis is bipolar mood disorder, but I'm suspected to Alzheimer's disease. The patient is now on Valproate Sodium and Rivastigmine. 1. Forgetfulness 2. Confusion 3. Wandering 4. Telling things that are not right to say in front of others, say, things related to sex 5. Cursing 6. Counting his money many times a day 7. When asked about something happened, say, 1 month ago, he says it has happened 1 or 2 years ago 8. Talkative 9. Once getting lost at night on the way back home 10. A little money is worth a lot to him. 11. Bargaining with shopkeepers over the price of goods for a few pennies
