A question on Haloperidol?

Listen, thanks to all the people that gave me some medical advice. It was great. Remember me?Asking what is the most sedating Anti-Psychotic. I noticed that most of you said Seroquel. I started off on 100mg a day. Then 200mg a day. ...then (this is not a joke)...I increased the dose to 900mg a day. Then 1500mg a day. And eventually 2200mg per day. And you know what? ITS NOT SEDATING ME. People said to me that Olanzapine was sedating. Didn't do anything for me. Neither did Risperidone or Solian. I've even been on Largactil up to 600mg a day. Stelazine, too, except on a lower dose. I need to know about Haloperidol. I don't want anyone to refer me to Wikipedia, I want real responses from real people. Is Haloperidol sedating? If so, is the sedation dose-related? How long does it take for the drug to kick in? There's 3 questions there. Hopefully you guys can shed some light on this medication. I KNOW you people are not doctors or psychiatrists, but I appreciate your input. Thanks. Just for the record, these are my medications: Lexapro 40mg a day Valium 30mg a day Gabapentin 900mg a day Seroquel 1200mg Mogadon 5mg Haloperidol...? Undecided dosage A laxative, and alot of Codeine.

I wsa prescribed respiridone today - still on small dose, but was wondering if anyone else took this? Experiences?? was it useful?? any really bad side effects??

Hi I take Risperidone but it causes weight gain do you know of any other medications that have the same effect or purpose, just looking for some info before I go and see the doc. Thanks.

I was prescribed risperidone and lamictal for bipolar disorder by my psychiatrist. So he wants me to take the sample packet of lamictal for a month right now with the risperidone, and then completely go off the lamictal after the month is up. Does this make sense? I am really scared that this is the wrong medicine for me, and I am having horrible anxiety. i need to know what i should do.
