Am I immune to viruses one day after finishing antibiotics?I have Hepatitis C which I got from a tattoo years ago I am taking the interferon and ribavirin treatment I got a upper-respitory infection 10 days ago and took a regimen of antibiotics my question is I took my last antibiotic yesterday morning I have to to very careful about being exposed to sickness as my treatment drugs can attack my immune system my grand daughter is sick and we care for her during the day am I still immune from my antibiotic or can I catch this thing she has I cannot afford to get another virus it can be dangerous to my system but I love my granddaughter so much it pains me to not be near her
How long does it take for the really adverse symptoms to start?I am on Interferon and Ribavirin therapy for HCV, and I am doing a 24 week course, I have taken my first injection, last week and two doses of Ribavirin daily for a week. The only thing that has been different is that i was achy the day after my shot, and I haven't been very hungary. I was just wondering if the side effects start out minimal and get worse, or if I will only ever have these minimal side effects...Thanks for answering...
