Norethindrone FAQ

Need a comparable birthcontrol pill to Femcon - Must be brand name. Can anyone recommend one?

I get bc sample packs from the Dr's office, so I have to be on a brand name w/ no available generic. I have only ever been on Ovcon 35 and Femcon. I realize I might not be able to stay on a norethindrone/ethinyl estradiol pill. If there are any doctors, nurses, pa's out there, could you recommend one? Thanks :)

I am breastfeeding and my docotor is wanting to put me on a b.c called Norethindrone because I have been on my period for a month and he thinks this will help even out my period. I informed him that I am breastfeeding and he told me all B.Cs were safe to use while pregnant. Then when I picked up the BC it said to not use while pregnant, trying to get pregnant or breastfeeding on the label. I looked it up and I got mixed answers does anyone know if this is safe while breastfeeding?

I was sent to a fertility specialist since last november 2008, he wanted me to take medication becuase its seems the walling in my uterus is thick and is probably the reason why i havent gotten pregnant. Now ive always had normal menstrual each month no problem with it, January is the first time ive taken the medication NORETHINDRONE 5MG (substitute for AYGESTIN 5MG) apparently since January i havent had a period til mid march but before the period showed up they had me more of themeidcation but doubled up on it. I had gotten checked up and still the walling is thick, so i went back ont he medication, my question is would the medication be stopping my periods?...

I either completely skip my periods or bleed nonstop for months until the dr finally gives me norethindrone to stop it. I have problems taking bc has anyone had any alternative treatments for controlling the symptoms
