Nitrofurantoin for a UTI?

I've had a recurring UTI for many months now, and today my doctor prescribed me Nitrofurantoin. Unlike other antibiotics I've taken, the warnings on label said nothing about not eating dairy while on this medicine. Is it safe to consume dairy while taking it?

this week i have been hospitalized due to having a urinary tract infection. I was treated with Ceftriaxone during my entire stay and had now been advised to drink nitrofurantoin 4x a day. Could it be possible that the uti caused the edema? If so, how can i lose the excess fluid fast since none of my clothes fit me anymore.. Thanks

The vaginal swab culture was done which revealed scanty gro. Gram Smear showed occassional gram negative bacilli and occasionally gram positive bacilli seen and ocassional gram positive cocci and ocassional pus cells seen according to the results. The doctor prescribed her NITROFURANTOIN-10mg. I know that during the first trimesterof pregnancy any antibiotics are contraindicated. So what should she do? Should she take the antibiotic or should she just forget the antibiotic and live with the infection.If so will she have any complications due to the infection?

I had unprotected sex 2 days after my last antibiotic pill and was on that pill for 2 days. It's been 12 days since we had intercourse and now my breasts are sore to the touch and I am very tired. Is it too early for these signs and could I be pregnant after taking yaz and Nitrofurantoin together? I am married and it is OK if I get pregnant, just never have been before. Thanks

hi i have been told i have a urine tract infection and have been given medication for called nitrofurantoin also i am 25 weeks pregnant i have read all the websites to make sure its safe to use and apparently it is but its worrying me as since i have been aking these my baby is not active at all ive tried everything thanks for looking
