Bystolic [Nebivolol] 5 mg concerns.?

Hello YA community, I've recently just been prescribed Bystolic, a new beta blocker that just came out, for my blood pressure and because I keep having head 'jitters'. I'm on Clonazepam; 1 mg a pill, have been for 7 months and I hate taking medicine that I have to taper off of. My doctor told me I would not have to taper off of Bystolic but from what I'm reading, you do. And also, I'm concerned about what I've been reading from other websites about it saying if I stop taking it, I could have a heart attack. Anybody taking this drug or have any information about it?

It started a year and a half ago after my father had a coronary bypass done. Initially the panic attacks were very severe and on many occasions I would convince myself that it is a heart attack and have rushed to hospital many times and get an ECG done. The moment doctor says that the ECG is normal all my symtomps would disappear. After that I had my complete blood profile done in which my triglycirides were 250, serum cholestrol 199, LDL 100, HDL 52, blood pressure was quite fluctuating in the range of Sys - 130 to 150 and diastolic in the range of 90 to 100. I was put on nebivolol 5 mg tab and anti-depressant for 6 - 8 months after which i slowly withdrew medication. After that I have had no major panic attack in all these time but of late I have again started thinking on that line and my sub conscious mind is always active in that direction. Again, like in the initial period, i have pain in my chest and abdominal area in diff places everytime where pain is not severe at all but is distracting. Pain is like cramps and cracking like but in no one specific spot. Sometimes I can feel that there is nothing abnormal but still i feel heavyness in chest with light pain which i know is superficial but i can't help it. I drink approx. 15-20 pegs/week. Now i have developed another fear that my liver might be affected and i feel as if my eyes have a slight shade of yellow color. After having my blood profile and ECG done a year and a half ago Im in fear of having high cholestrol, high sugar and developing a blockage as a result i dont dare to get my lipid, sugar or ECG done again. Because of all these constant different fears im not able to live a quality life. The moment im alone or travelling alone long distance i start having these symptoms. And if im in my preferred company than i feel relaxed and it doesn't occur. At times it is really frustrating and irritating. I hope it is all just phobia and anything doesn't come to be true and i live a long and healthy life.

Does it lower your blood pressure too low if you frequently have normal blood pressure? I only have high blood pressure when I'm anxious. I have anxiety disorder and have been instructed by my doctor to take this medication. I just am not convinced it is necessary.
