Has anyone taken Misoprostol before a D&C?
I have a D&C tomorrow noon to treat a missed miscarriage, and my doctor has prescribed Misoprostol to be taken orally tonight. Is this the general method for a D&C? And what can I expect once I take it tonight? Also, will it affect my future pregnancies adversely? Personal experiences would be helpful. Thanks for your reply, yes for the last few days I am just getting more paranoid by the day and although I know my doctor is the right person to answer my questions, it also helps to know so many people are going thru this and their experiences. I have anyways done another u/s and now sure that it isnt viable since now there is no baby and the sac has started to collapse. So going for the D&C today.

how long can someone prolong not having a D&C?A friend of my sister got pregnant and they're still in HS. She and her bf went to a clinic and had a medical abortion. She isn't pregnant anymore but her misoprostol wasn't quite able to get everything out. Can she wait for 3 weeks? I am leaving on Sunday and will be back on May 23. They want me to go with them to get a D&C.
