Mebeverine and period pains?

i have problems with my period ( irregular, short, usually miss them) and i went the doctors, as i started to get excruciating pains AFTER coming of my period, not during or before, which caused me to faint usually 4-5 times a year, and he said i had spasmodic ovaries and gave me mebeverine as he said apart from painkillers he couldn't think of any other advice. but i don't think it really works, its stopped me fainting but i still get the bad pains after coming off. can any nurses or doctors or similar sufferers give me any advice. thank you xxx

Hello, I have IBS and I take 200mg of Mebeverine CR once a day and 60mg of codeine phosphate twice a day, ive tryed alot of diffrent medicine for it and ive been on this since i was 16, im 19 now and it realy keeps it controled and now IBS hardly effects my life at all. My girlfreind was crying to me on teh hpone saying that she dosent want me taking codeine anymore and that i will have to find something diffrent or she will split up with me all becouse her grandmother who was a carer said that I will end up with neuological damage and die eventualy and that they never prescribe codeine to people with IBS wich dosent sound right to me but she will balive her over anyone. I have no idea what to do now, can it cause neurological damage, is there anythign else similar I could take ive tryed imodium and that gave me some bad side effects or should I just put the codeine in like a vitamin capsual to keep her quiet. Thanks There like a private auxillery nurse, kind you would get in a nursing home, i tryed explaining doctors and pharmacists know more than them but she wont listen, strage hing is I dont have any sides off them and after all this time I know im addicted but it dosent bother me in my eyes i dont realy have IBS anymore and it isent like im stealing money so i can buy smack and inject it into my toes lol We are in canada lol, I told her about it so i realy dont know what to tell her, i dont drink or smoke i dont know what she is worried about but i love her and dont want to upset her, i know shes only doing this as she thinks i will die from it lol In europe doctors prescribe opiates as needed compared to some areas of the states your docors tend to give out alot of branded medicine and in the uk aslong as your doctor or what the packet informs its legal to drive.

HI, I am a 24 year old postgrad student. I had a UTI like symptons with testicular pain 3 months ago. I went to see my doctor and they performed UTI test and couldn't detect anything. This was done 3 times in 3 days intervals. My symptoms were there and they prescribed Ciprofloxicillian for 7 days. This drug wasn't very effective. After 10 days of this course i had urine culture and complete urine examination. Urine culture came back negitive whereas there were occasional bacteria and WBCs were detected in microscopic examination. At the same time i developed abdominal pain and went to see Gastroenterologist and he prescribed mebeverine and Flagell (anti- ameboic drug). I took this for seven days but wasn't very useful. He suggested me to have Colonoscopy and also consult urologist. Then i went to urologist and had an ultrasouns scan and it showed thickning of bladder wall then he prescribed me Doxycycline (7 days) and Nitrofurintoin (2 weeks). This treatment seemed to work but wan't 100%. I went to USS again after 4 days of that treatment and my bladder apeared normal. But over the time i am getting joint and muscle pain with water diarrhea on and off. I had LFTS, RFTS, CBCs and TFT's they all normal. Complete stool examination was also fine. Negitive stool culture for parasites, shigella, salmonella, C. diff. and Helico etc. I also had negitive STD screen, negitive serum anti-nuclear antibody test and also normal PSA. My current abdomainal and testicular USS is normal. But i am still having lower abdominal, pelvic pain with back pain. Still having On and Off lose and hard stool. i m really worried and can someone help me what it could be? I ll really appreciate your help

I have had IBS since i was about 6 which is really early but it was never really bad, it was easy to live with. I've actually been having no problems for the past two years and suddenly its flared back up and i am in quite a lot of pain, hence why i am writing this in the morning of a college day. I do take Mebeverine now but it doesen't do anything and im going to see the doctor (again!). Any help or stuff i could do to stop it
