people with RA- have u taken leflunomide?

my mother in law has rheumatoid arthritis and she was put on methotexate 1st but she reacted to it by not breathing good and made her heart rate go up to 167 beats per min now the doc has her on leflunomide she is scared to take this has any one taken this drug good results and bad please

I was just wondering if it is working for you and just how long it took to make a difference? Is it enough and what dose are you on? I've been on it for 2 weeks with prednisolone support for 6 weeks. I am hopeing I can tolerate it and that it works for me. I am interested to hear any experiences. :).

I feel I can't stop as each time it returns. Never had this problem prior to this drug. Keeping everything clean. Should I stop taking Leflunomide or will it do no harm to take eye ointment frequently? Had fine rash prior to eye problem but after 6 weeks resolved.

My relative has been in this dilemma for a long time....She is a female - 55 y. - she has been diagnosed with RA few years back. She started Methotrexate, then changed to Leflunomide. Her fingers improved a bit, but she started seeing another physician who told her that she does not have RA...!!! She did a few tests and the results were : ESR: 63 ( 1st hour) / 98 ( 2nd hour ) Anti CCP : -ve (1.1) RF : Weakly reactive Rose waller test : +ve ( 8 ) He asked her to stop the leflunomide and repeat the same tests 2 weeks later and these were the results: ESR: 71 ( 1st hour ) / 118 ( 2nd hour) RF: -ve ( and appeared to be +ve in another lab = 49) Rose Waller test: +ve ( 14) What do you think about her case?

i mostly wanna know if there is any bc interactions on this but if u know what any of them are it would help.
