Bennedryl and fluoxetine interaction leading to hives?

I've been on fluoxetine (an anti depressant also known as prozac) for five months and just last night I took some bennedryl to help with my allergies. I woke up this morning with my eyes welted half shut and hives all over my body. Would this be because of a drug interaction, or am I just allergic to bennedryl? Also, how long before I'm back to normal? And... obviously I need to stop taking bennedryl.. but am I safe to take my fluoxetine as I normally do, or should I wait? I had never taken bennedryl before. And the reason I took it was because I was having trouble sleeping and general outdoor allergies were giving me a hard time. I'm not going to stop taking fluoxetine cold turkey, I'm just wondering if I should skip a dose today and wait until the welts are gone. And I did read on a site that an interaction is possible but didn't list any symptoms.

I have been taking prozac 60mg per day for about 8 months for depression, which has helped me so much, i feel better but i am experiencing side effects(lots of sweating), should i stop taking it?

Went to a differnet doc and told her what the paxil was doing to me(sleeping 15 hrs a day on my days off.. no energy.wgt gain)the first doc thought it was depression.even though I told him its was just 2-3weeks out of the month(pms super sized by 100 times) I dont have anything in my life to be depressed over....... so she want. me to switch to fluoxetine(Prozac) to see if there is a change..I have been off paxil a month now and Im not sure I want that zombie stage back, but that stranger in me is starting to come back.. after voicing my concerns she said I didnt have to take it every day i could try every other or just those 2 weeks that are really bad.... Has anyone else tried this method and how did it go

I have been told by my psychologist that i have psychosis. I have had all the symptoms for many years but do not feel mentally ill. I was also diagnosed with depression when i was 13 and was admitted to an adolescent psychiatric ward for my own safety. I was given an antidepressant called fluoxetine aka prozac but it didn't help me at all. I am now nearly 17 and my depression is the worst its ever been. I have been put back on fluoxetine and am on another form of medication for my psychosis. I would like to know if there are any factors that can cause people to develop psychosis and also would like to know if there are any other people who have suffered from this illness and have gotten better, how long it took to get better and how they got better. P.s does anyone know if risperidol is good for treating psychosis or fluoxetine for depression?

I am on the antidepressant Fluoxetine (Prozac) prescribed by my doctor. I've been on it for a year and need to continue with it. However, I am being transferred to Abu Dhabi with my job and I know that this drug is banned by the UAE. Am I allowed to import it if I prove I have a prescription for it? I need this medication and simply stopping it is not an option right now. So, h, are you saying that I need a prescription translated into Arabic and then have it authenticated by the UAE Embassy before entering the country? Sounds a little excessive, but if that's what it takes. I am currently working in Libya so hopefully there is an embassy here.
