Is Dexamethasone help the Pain for Wisdom Teeth Removal?

Im getting my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow. I received dexamethasone to help the pain for after. But all the people i talk to say they received Vicodin, Percecet, etc. Should i ask my Doctor to prescribe me vicodin and such or is Dexamethasone good enough to relieve the pain im going to go through the next few days?

I'm going to get my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow. And im a little low informed on these pills Ive received. I recieved Dexamethasone, is that a pain killer? I also recieved Etopan also have no idea what it is.
