Desloratadine FAQ

hello there, i would like to humbly address this concern to allergist, peads~~?

~~my daughter was being precribed a medicine called momethasone furoate monohydrate(nasonex) and desloratadine(arius) for her runny nose and nasal congestion which lasted for weeks. i would like to know why the physician has to combined two medicines where only one can do?~~~ please help. thank you hello be happy, the dose for the steroids has been increased actually by the allergist. it was made to 2 sprays each nostrils every two x a day. it was mentioned by the allergist that she used two because of the symptoms presented by my daughter. allergist suggested allergy test. in your experience, will you recommend? thank you very much for the answer. 2 nasal sprays each nostrils twice a day for another week. this week is the 2nd.

How can I determine when tolerance to a particular molecule has gone away? I have a lot of allergies which cause congestion and rhinitis to the point where I can't work or sleep properly: I'm always either sneezing repeatedly, blowing my nose to prevent it dripping like a faucet, or waking up because my sleep has become light... I can't breathe properly. (I'm already on waiting lists to have a complete diagnostic, but my appointment is almost a year away.) I've tried almost every OTC med out there (loratadine, desloratadine, fexofenadine, doxylamine succinate, cetirizine, diphenhydramine chlorhydrate) on rotation, *following the proper dosage guidelines*, they've all worked for differing amounts of time, but it seems I've developed a tolerance to all of them... So... How can I know when I can start over and have those antihistamines work again for me? Or am I stuck waiting until next year to start over? =/ Thanks...

Ive been in treatment with desloratadine, 5 mg everyday... yesterday i bought more and didnt know it has also 120 mg of pseudoephedrine, since i read it had only 2,5 mg of desloratadine i took 2 (240mg of pseudoephedrine) i realized after i took them that it had sth else than desloratadine. I couldnt slept all night, felt restless, headache, sweating.. well those symptoms for pseudoephedrine... its been almost 8 hrs since i took them and i wonder if i can still get another effect? is it still in my body? how long it takes to be eliminated? *I called the hospital and they didnt say it was a dangerous amount so i just had to wait my body elimnates it... I meant i called the hospital and they sayd it wasnt a dangerous amount...

3 months ago I recieved my first dose of Depo provera (the contraceptive jag) and for the whole 3 months I was bleeding constantly. When it was time to get my second injection I told the nurse that I had experienced irregular bleeding and that I wasn't too sure that I wanted to use the jag again. She told me that my bleeding was more than likely to stop the second time around. So I got the jag again and the nurse also prescribed me with Norethisterone tablets to help stop my bleeding. That was a week ago. My bleeding has stopped but I am now experiencing an all over body itch which is VERY irritating!! I went to my doctor who prescribed me with an antihistamine (desloratadine) how long will it take for the tablets to start helping me? and should i continue to use Norethisterone? thanks x
