Why would a doctor take a patient off of Metoprolol and switch to Carvedilol and Lisinopril?

My dad had a heart attack about two years ago, he was put on several heart medications, one of them being Metoprolol. Recently he went in for an exam and his blood work showed that he wasn't getting enough oxygen due to sleep apnea. When he went back to the doctor he took my dad off of the Metoprolol and put him on Carvedilol and Lisinopril-- would anyone be able to tell me why the doctor would do this? My dad wasn't very specific about what the doctor said- I'm aware that Metoprolol and Carvedilol are both Beta receptor blockers but why the change? what's the cause of getting rid of the first prescription and combining two new ones? Thank you!

Ramipril, Warfarin, Carvedilol, Simvastatin. The warfarin is definitrely in the expected control range. From 1 to 3 hours after meds I feel much weaker. Less inclided to stand up. Generally more grotty.

My mom is 60, she's a type-2 diabetic and has high blood pressure. (She takes medications for both: Metformin, Carvedilol, and Benicar.) Some 10 days ago she started getting these itchy pimples on her lower arms and chest mostly. They start as itchy spots which later develop into full-grown white-head pimples. The one she removed developed into a huge red spot around the pimple, but has since withdrew. She also changed her diet, as she decided to cure that diabetes of hers. Is this, then, an allergic reaction to either medications or food? She didn't have any problems with medications before, or with food. Should she go see a dermatologist, and if so, do they ever really help? Tank you.

here are some data about me im 26 blood preassure in the 130s most of the time normal sugar levels high cholesteroll 239 tryglicerides 340 i had a ekg done, i was tld tha tthe heart seems strong and normal, also i got a echocardiogram done here they found that my EF is 44% like 10 points below normal....they prescribed me lovaza, crestor , carvedilol and magnesium, i was not told that i have heart failure but im freak out since it could mean a bad prognosis, i do not have sweling feet or legs and i dont cough at all, i just feel dizzy but can do many tasks, can my condition be improves?

i feel dizziness at times, i went to the doctor and i was told tha tmy EF is 44%, the doctor told me that the normal is 55, i have high cholesterol, and trigs, also my blood preasure is about 140 over 77 i was prescribed carvedilol and would like to know what this medication will help for? also im on lovaza and crestor, im freak out im 26 180 pound about 5 11 is there a chance for me to increase my EF im really scare , im a male.... thanks
