can you take buspirone and xanax?

I am on busprione daily twice a day,and i have xanax for my out breaks,cause buspirone takes up to 3 to 4 weeks to kick in,is it safe after about 6.5 to 7 hours to take buspirone,I take half of a xanax when needed

I have been vistim of anxiety and Depression for many years and been fighting was prescribed buspirone 6 months begore 15 mg a day by 3 doses. I felt really good for a month in last many years. I felt alive, focused and much more full of energy for almost a month ( i feel i could explain it better way as it was something i have never experienced in my life before i guess) . Thats when it starting loosing its charm and effect. I increased dosage but no effect... I started to feel same and blue. Anyone know what could have been the reason.......

So I had a Dr. Appointment earlier in the week and while there for routine check up, I mentioned that I've been very anxious for a long time now. Very general anxiety and anything really can trigger it. I've been loosing sleep, having chest pains, had panics attacks, all the things that go with anxiety. I'm not depressed and do not suffer from chemical imbalances, sometimes I just don't handle certain situations well. My Dr. was hesitant to put me on anything because it can be something that you do for life and also addictive and I am young ( in my 20's) Well she consulted with her colleges and called me today to say they are putting me on Buspirone HCL 5MG and I'll start by taking 15 MG a day total and increase up to 5 MG every 3rd day until I find the right MG for me. I'll check back in a month to see how I am doing and see if this is the right route for me. I'd like to know has anyone else tried this medication? How did it make you feel? Do you recommend it? I took it and within about 20 minutes I felt very light headed and dizzy, kind of fuzzy. Maybe how you feel when you've had a drink or two (not drunk, just a little... relaxed) I know its supposed to relax me, but it felt so strange. Will this get better as I get used to it? or is that how you're supposed to feel? Almost sluggish? Thanks for the help!

I take 40 mg of prozac daily with 10 mg of buspirone twice daily for anxiety. My question is can you take .5 mg of xanax every now and then if you are having a bad day in combination with the other two?

Ok.. my boyfriend has been going to the gym for the past 2 years and will spend 1-2 hours lifting & cardio.. he usually goes 6 nights a week.. well suddenly he came down with a social anxiety issue.. whenever he is out in public, he gets very nauseated, hearts starts beating fast, dry mouth, and he has to leave.. now when he goes to the gym, he says he goes and does about 20 reps before he has to leave because he gets nauseated and anxiety kicks in. He says the past 2 weeks he's done 10 minutes a day lifting... what can he do to get back to his normal routine? He gets like this every time he goes out in public, sometimes it worse then others. He is on Buspirone from the doctor but he said it don't help It all started when he felt nauseous at the gym a month ago... he became very scared of throwing up at the gym or in public.. thats what started it
