going to the doctors today, can i......?

ok, i woke up yesterday morning and my left ear was hurting, i couldnt hear out of it very well, and this, like, liquid wax discharge was coming out. my bf took me to the local minor injuries unit and they put me on amoxycillin, and advised me to see my GP today, which im doing(appt at half 10), i woke up this morning, and it was exactly the same as yesterday, so it will give my GP something to look at, but my main question is, i work part time as a cashier, so i deal with fresh food now and then etc. etc. am i able to ask the doc for a sick note or not? because to be honest, personally i think that i shouldnt go to work like this, some of you may think different, but i told my mum that my ear was the same as yeserday(painful, discharge etc.) and that im staying off work again and she said ok whereas when ive been ill in the past, if i cant prove it shes sent me in anyway

I had tonsillitis two weeks ago and just finished my antibiotics (amoxycillin) on Tuesday (5 days ago). Last nice I wasn't feeling too well and this morning I woke up with a really sore throat and I have been coughing up a lot of phlegm. What should i do? BTW I have had tonsillitis four or five times in the last six months. Should I be asking my doctor about a tonsillectomy? I don't smoke, drink or even hang around people who do

i have a uti that i had last month that i took bactrim to get rid of. how could it have came back? i drink nothing but water, literally and tons of it. back to my original question, my uti came back and instead of a three day dose i got a seven day dose of bactrim. i took one pill and broke out in hives head to toe. yes, i am aware im having an allergic reaction but my question is that my doctor told me to quit taking the bactrim and take an antihistamine until monday and well have to take a different route with the uti. im allergic to amoxycillin too. so, how do treat a pt who has an allergy to antibiotics for a uti? and what are possible causes for it to come back? i take acidophollis once a day to prevent yeast infections, so coukd a probiotic cause it? it seems like sex can make it more irrated but i use the bathroom afterwords everytime and my bf and i are both clean. i just dont understand how you can treat a uti without an antibiotic and im allergic to everything.

About two weeks ago I had sex with my new boyfriend for the first time without a condom (not the first time for me, but first time in the relationship) ... Ever since I have had issues down there! At first it burned when I went to pee, then it got really uncomfortable to sit down. So I took a look down there and everything looked normal. So I put it down to cystitis and started drinking cranberry juice and I took a five day course of amoxycillin that I had spare in my drawer. Then one other night I saw my boyfriend I had sex again with him despite being still tender down there...the next day again the pain was a little, and it started to get itchy...so I thought oh maybe it's a yeast infection so I bought some cream and pills for this which has not helped. So I took a look again today and noticed that the hymen (entrance to my vagina) has like a red skin tag sore on it and it is a little swollen round the area. I spoke to my boyfriend to ask him if he had any previous STDs or anything and he told me actually the first time we had sex he got checked out a couple of days later since we didn't wear a condom (drunken mistake) but he was negative in all tests. So i'm wondering is this just a sore because of rough sex? I think the reason why it burns when I pee is when it splashes against the sore. Can someone please help...I really dont want to go to the doctor! sorry maybe 'hymen' is the wrong word i'm using - i mean the entrance to my vagina (but not the labia) I don't think it's chlamydia - I've not been getting any discharge. It's just this red swollen lump that stings when I touch it or when I pee. I've been taking alot of cranberry which helps the stinging when I pee. I'm in two minds whether to go to the doctors - the pain has gotten less over the last few days, I have been using a yeast infection cream and washing it with water a few times a day. Oh and I noticed the pain a few hours after I had sex with him for the first time which make me also think it's not an STD.

Every time I take Amoxycillin by the fifth day of taking it my tongue gets swollen, my throat is irritated and I have raised red bumps towards the back of my throat. If this is a reaction, why does it take so long to happen?
