Amlodipine FAQ
amlodipine and its side effects?
Was having very high blood pressure 170s over 120s and was getting really bad headaches and dizzy spells been put on amplodipine and now feel worse very bad headache in left eye and temple very tired and dizzy plus sick. Also feel a little shaky and strange but my blood pressure has come down to 150 over high 90s low 100s are there side effects common and will they go away been taking them for just under a week. thanks for taking a keen intrest yes it has ben going on for ages i am white british 24yrs old. i am not overly fit at all i am 17 stone and am 6ft2in. i work as a social crises care worker which is a very stressful night job that i work 12-15 hours a night and 60hrs a week!. thats the only med i been on. i dont smoke or drink but due to my hours of work do eat quick ready type meals quite often.i had my kidneys cheked came back ok also had full heart stuff all ok just murmer issues.my dad has ischimic heatr disease and had his first heart attack at 23 my nan from my dads side had a stoke very young and my grandad from my mothers side has diabites. without medication my blood pressure is around 170 over 125 on aveage sometimes lttle higher or lower. with meds about 150 over 100. have been told i now have very high eye pressure due to the high bp. i get very dizzy and am always very tired and get bad headaches mostly around right eye. apart from all this i have always been healthy.
Anyone who takes Amlodipine and Benazepril how do you take it?I just got a prescription for high blood pressure, been taking another medicine already, but doctor prescribe this one for me, Anyway the cost was so much cheaper to get two separate medicine instead of one so I I had the pharmacist with permission with Doctor to got two medicines, anyway the pharmacist said that I could take one at night and the other during the day or take it both together, Just trying to find out for those who take this combination of drugs separately do you take it all at once or take one in the morning and the other at night, I am currently taking both in the morning.
I was wondering if taking a combine medicine more better than taking it separately?I have high blood pressure that I need to take medication to control, My problem is the one prescription that was given to me and it is called amlodipine besy- benazepril. is kinda expensive and my insurance does not cover it but when I asked the pharmacist about it he told me to have the Doctor separate the prescription and give me a prescription for each and it would be cheaper. If I brought it combine it would run $170 for 3 months and if I took it separately then it would cost me $40 for 3 months. My question would I be getting the same benefit if I took the medication separately or what draw back if any from them giving me two separate medication. Unfortunately the list of medication for high blood pressure on most of these generic discount are not Program like Walmart of Walgreen etc do not include the one that are usually prescribe by my doctor or the list from my insurance does not have any common high blood pressure medicine either.
Can medications to treat high blood pressure, including Bisoprolol Fumarate, Ramipril, and Amlodipine, ...?affect the libido? If they do, is there anything to do other than be resigned?
