Basically, what is the difference between Actonel and fosamax?

I had been on Actonel for five years, when the generic alendronate came out, I asked to change to it. Should I have?

taken this..... I was prescribed 75mg once a week. Just wondering if anyone had any side effects from it....like bloating or weight gain, since this IS salt....thanks or anything worse.?????

Is there a place that sells it?

I get Migraines, fosamax seems to set one off 50% of the time then I have to take imitrex.. just wondering if anyone else out there has a problem with it

please help me, this question was for my mom, she is taking fosamax or ALENDRONATE every saturday and a calcium called calcitriol, sorry for the names but they are in spanish, we are mexicans and we live in mexico, but I didn't get answers in spanish about these medications so I am asking in this section, well I am learning english sorry if you couldn't understand my english but it's urgent, because a doctor told my aunt that fosamax is the same that taking calcium but my mom takes fosamax the simple not the new version with calcium, but please help me is the same thing for helping osteoporosis thank for your help and explain me the work of these medications in the body. btw my mom has like 1 year taking both medications for it.. greetings from mexico to everybody bye.
